Spring is here?Maybe? This is the first Robin of Spring that I have seen. He was busy running around my backyard today. Eating worms I guess?

We have only 1 more sleep till Daddy comes home. The kids are counting down the hours(so is mommy). We actually have made out quite well this week. I got a lot of house cleaning done because I didn't have to worry about the noise level in case Ray was on the phone. I have a very slippery Pledge spot on the kitchen floor so we keep "skating" through and the kids think it is fun. They were all up and waiting at the bedroom door this morning so they could jump on mommy's bed and wake her up. Yesterday I was up before them and the were disappointed they couldn't wake me up so I played possum this morning. I always enjoy those first moments of the morning when the kids are cuddled up in bed with me and we make plans for the day.

What is it with kids and toy boxes ? Ruby-Jean loved to sit in her toy box and play. I used the new core'dinations paper that Just Scrap It! brought in. This paper is fun but messy to work with. I placed my chipboard letters beneath the card stock and sanded them. I'm not quite happy with the way they turned out as it was a learn as you go process. When my page was finished I wanted to see a little more of the core color so I did some sanding and some tearing. The page is OK . I can live it.

Kayne: It wasn't me! Mommy: Oh yes it was! Kayne: It wasn't me!(giggling) Mommy Oh yes it was. (giggling also) And so the conversation would go. I have a son who is gassy to put it politely and while we try not to laugh when sounds escape we sometimes can't help it. Now those of you who know Ray and I you know we have an odd sense of humor...so when I saw this t-shirt I thought of Kayne and knew I had to buy it. He has several shirts with captions on them and he loves wearing them.

I took Ray to the airport at 5:30am on Monday. The kids were sad to see him go.(mommy was too). Wolfgang cried most of the way home but by 10 he seemed to be OK with daddy being gone. It helped when I told him to make an airplane. Kayne had to join in because what Wolf does Kayne does. Anyway I thought their airplanes turned out pretty good. Wolf's plane is the top one and Kayne's is the bottom one. We made out pretty good the rest of the day. There were a few tears at bedtime because daddy wasn't there to tuck them in. Only 2 more sleeps till daddy's home and all is right in our world again.

Our Ruby-Jean, what can we say about her? Well she is the baby of the family and knows how to work it. One night at supper she hadn't finished eating but still wanted dessert. When we said she needed to clean her plate this was the response we got. What a face.

The title says it all. We bought this pool for Wolfgang's water themed birthday party last summer. The kids at the party had a blast but as you can see from the picture so did our own kids. We used this pool non stop and had a ton of fun all summer long. This was one purchase worth every penny.

This is definitely a blackmail picture. Wolfgang had played so hard one sunny day last summer that he crashed and burned before supper.

These photos are several years old but it is the only picture of my siblings and myself as adults. It was taken at my Grandfathers Funeral. Why is it family pictures are only taken at funerals and weddings?

I took this picture last summer at the Forestry Farm and loved it from the beginning . I have pulled it out to scrap numerous times but didn't know how to tackle it. Well I was inspired at Friday nights crop. I love the simplicity and minimalism of the layout.

I have the BEST friend in the WORLD. She camped out at Just Scrap IT! last night so that we could be first in line. I left her there at Midnight and returned this morning at 5AM. Those that gathered early with us had a blast chatting and shivering and enjoying the sunrise. None of us can wait until the 25th & 26th of April.

We took the kids to see Safari Jeff and Shannon today. They had a hoot and got to pet a snake. How cool is that? Safari

So we moved Ruby-Jean into her Big Girl Bed on Saturday. It is only for Princesses who are beautiful to sleep in. We are trying to potty train and are hoping this might help.

On March 12, 2008 we had our first BBQ of the year. OH MY GOSH!It was sooooooooo goooood.

I love the picture of Kayne just enjoying the day. I knew I didn't want this layout to have a "little boy" feel to it but I didn't know what direction to go either. I definitely don't mind stepping out of my comfort zone so I tried some of Wilna's paint it mentality. I am not sure yet if I like the layout but I don't hate the results so I guess that is good. I will try painting again on future layouts as I did have fun creating this one. The chipboard letters have crackle paint,perfect pearls ink and glossy accents.

Spiderman...Spiderman...does whatever a spider can. I made this birthday card this weekend for a party that Wolfgang attended. Sorry my picture is a little fuzzy. I printed the spider and web out on a piece of transparency and laid it over the "Birthday wishes" I had stamped. The Spiderman was cut from a invitation i found.

I really enjoyed creating this page. I have 20 different pieces of patterned paper on this page. I took this picture last spring at the river while on 1 of our many family outings to the weir. I loved the picture and haven't quite know how to tackle it...but I like this layout and will probably revisit it for future layouts.

This picture was taken on July 12 somewhere between1979-1981. It is one of the few pictures I have of my Grandfather and I. I know the month and day because the bike was my birthday present. This is just a day in the life of our family when I was a kid. There was no occasion happening but I am glad to have it as I have so few childhood pictures.

My children have various board books in many shapes and sizes that are falling apart. I decided to do a little recycling and create something fun. We had spent a nice afternoon this fall at the park and I took a lot of pictures. They tell a story by themselves so there isn't really a need for a lot of journaling.Fun to do.

I went out last night and got some great shots of the eclipse. I was actually quite surprised and delighted that my camera took as good a picture as it did. The eclipse was quite fun to watch.
