I created some art. Can you believe it? It seems like it has been forever since I last felt like getting messy and letting the creative juices flow. I found this wall hanging at a thrift store for $1.99 about 6months ago and it has been kicking around my craftroom every since. I was finally inspired today to do something with it. It was a very shiny brass so I Alcohol Inked it in several colours just to give it some depth. I than Glimmer misted the "base". Found a picture I liked and a quote that spoke to me added some vintage goodies and voila I am done. I think I like it. The quote reads:I decided long ago never to walk in anyone's shadow. As promised here is one of my honourable mention layouts from the Sask Scraps weekend. I love how this turned out. I used my Notebook border punch man do I love this punch. I heat embossed the grey paper with a gelee orange embossing powder. I also embossed the quote which is from Tim Holtz's Nature 's Discovery stamp set. A few metal accents and I was done. I like how this page turned out.
