Toy box Baby

What is it with kids and toy boxes? Ruby-Jean loved to sit in her toy box and play. I used the new core'dinations paper that Just Scrap It! brought in. This paper is fun but messy to work with. I placed my chipboard letters beneath the card stock and sanded them. I'm not quite happy with the way they turned out as it was a learn as you go process. When my page was finished I wanted to see a little more of the core color so I did some sanding and some tearing. The page is OK. I can live it.

Well I like this page - especially the buttona nd ribbons. I tried the idea with the letters under the cordination on my "faces" page and wasn't too pleased - something different though. I like how you distressed the bottom. We have a whole package of this stuff so let's get creative and share our ideas. :)

I love the picture of Kayne just enjoying the day. I knew I didn't want this layout to have a "little boy" feel to it but I didn't know what direction to go either. I definitely don't mind stepping out of my comfort zone so I tried some of Wilna's paint it mentality. I am not sure yet if I like the layout but I don't hate the results so I guess that is good. I will try painting again on future layouts as I did have fun creating this one. The chipboard letters have crackle paint,perfect pearls ink and glossy accents.

It's Here, It's Finally Here.....

The Fall Issue of Canadian Scrapbooker is out!!!! It's on the shelves....run don't walk to get your copy.  I am so excited to be featured  in the Passport to Creativity!!! What an honour.I freaked to put it mildly when I opened that email. :) :)  These are the 3 LO's that I created for the issue. I stressed over my Bio and felt a little "nerdy" answering my interview questions, but when it's all said and done I am very proud of how it all looks and reads. I want to send a big SHOUT OUT to my friend Karen of KMP Photography for doing my head shots and scraproom photos too. Bird Call was created with Bo Bunny and some vintage goodies. I used my hole punch distress technique to finish it off. I wish I could Freeze Time consists of Graphic 45 and some yummy Tim Holz items. Toes is my last page. It has Basic Grey and my all time favorite photo of 2009. Now who else was is this magazine????? How about checking out my friend Kate ...she was featured in Pas...
