45 Record Album

Sorry about the poor quality of my photos and the sideways one. My computer and camera just weren't being very user compatible tonight.
I made this album from 2 old 45 record albums. My inside pages were cut using my coluzzle.(boy am I happy I invested in this.) I made the album to hold all the ticket stubs from outings with the family this summer and to jot down little notes and what nots about said outings. It was fun to make and was a departure for me as I prefer to design around pictures not design and then add pictures. I used the CUPCAKE line from Basic Grey. I think Basic Grey is one of my favorite lines. (it seems to be the one I have the most of ;).

Very creative and a great way to "recycle" something from the past into something more modern. Love the use of colors and papers. I love that line as well as well as many others including their new Euphoria line. Great Job!

I love the picture of Kayne just enjoying the day. I knew I didn't want this layout to have a "little boy" feel to it but I didn't know what direction to go either. I definitely don't mind stepping out of my comfort zone so I tried some of Wilna's paint it mentality. I am not sure yet if I like the layout but I don't hate the results so I guess that is good. I will try painting again on future layouts as I did have fun creating this one. The chipboard letters have crackle paint,perfect pearls ink and glossy accents.

It's Here, It's Finally Here.....

The Fall Issue of Canadian Scrapbooker is out!!!! It's on the shelves....run don't walk to get your copy.  I am so excited to be featured  in the Passport to Creativity!!! What an honour.I freaked to put it mildly when I opened that email. :) :)  These are the 3 LO's that I created for the issue. I stressed over my Bio and felt a little "nerdy" answering my interview questions, but when it's all said and done I am very proud of how it all looks and reads. I want to send a big SHOUT OUT to my friend Karen of KMP Photography for doing my head shots and scraproom photos too. Bird Call was created with Bo Bunny and some vintage goodies. I used my hole punch distress technique to finish it off. I wish I could Freeze Time consists of Graphic 45 and some yummy Tim Holz items. Toes is my last page.
