Thank you to everyone who is following my Project 365. I'm having a blast with it. I decided to start a blog just for my Project 365 photos. You can check it out here. I want to keep this one more for my craft/scrapbook stuff.
I am celebrating many things today, 15 000 Visitors, my 3rd Blog Anniversary and my 37th Birthday. (My blog anniversary and my birthday are July 12th and this will be the day that I pick a winner.)It will be a month of fun so make sure you check back often.I have dug out a vintage metal lunch box that I found while out "junking" I am going to fill it with all sorts of goodies. The more comments left the fuller it becomes. The more people who follow me the fuller it becomes. If I reach 50 followers by July 12th I will have a bonus giveaway. :) Please number your comments. The first person to leave a comment is # 1 and the next is #2 and so on. Thanks. Some of the goodies in there already???? Vintage buttons and lace, 45 LP'S, Vintage playing cards, vintage cupcake papers, strings of pearls, chipboard journal blocks, bath sponge and duct tape (2 of my favorite things to put on a page.) Flowers.
Drumheller the land of Dinosaurs. Most of my 4x6 pictures were dark and so far away that I decided to cut some down to 2x3 and blew up one to 5x7. This gave me the best of both worlds. I was able to show case the spray park and add the interest and highlight of the big dinosaur. I was able to use 9 so-so pictures to create 1 great layout. I love how the layout turned out and I really like the color scheme. A big THANKS to Laura from JSI for helping me with the colors. You Rock! My journalling reads: Inside the mouth of the world's largest dinosaur. She stands 86 feet tall and 151 feet long. She weighs 145,000 pounds. It takes 106 steps to climb to the top...Under the black lights in her tummy...Rotary Spray Park...The sign as you enter Drumheller .
I love the picture of Kayne just enjoying the day. I knew I didn't want this layout to have a "little boy" feel to it but I didn't know what direction to go either. I definitely don't mind stepping out of my comfort zone so I tried some of Wilna's paint it mentality. I am not sure yet if I like the layout but I don't hate the results so I guess that is good. I will try painting again on future layouts as I did have fun creating this one. The chipboard letters have crackle paint, perfect pearls ink and glossy accents.
